The djellaba (in Arabic: جلابة) is a traditional garment of the Maghreb.
Long and loose, it is recognisable by its long sleeves and its hood.

From one land to another, its cut and its cloth vary. So does its name : tajellabit among the Amazigh of the Moroccan Middle Atlas, kachabia on the Algerian High Plateaus, where it is woven from wool and camel hair.

It remains today the emblematic piece of the Maghrebian wardrobe.
